Iran is prepared to restart nuclear discussions with the United States on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared exclusively dialogue worked, and disclosed new appeals had come from mediators to reopen talks with the American leadership. He said Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran could not yet permit the global atomic watchdog to access attacked atomic facilities for safety concerns.

Navigating a Complex Route

The foreign minister is treading a challenging course since Iran does not want appear to be operating from a stance of vulnerability, and he emphatically stated that Iran had emerged more resilient defensively and psychologically from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Prior Discussions Suddenly Concluded

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and acrimonious conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with the US president asserting the sites had been destroyed. Afterward, European countries employed their privilege to reinstate UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a major impact.

Perfect Agreement Suggested

Iran's diplomats stated they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to declare success since domestic enrichment would have remained and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been settled in the discussions that American atomic experts could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Representatives asserted on multiple occasions they had secured an understanding with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the deal to collapse due to "opponents in the US".

Present Status

Tehran representatives said the cooperative arrangement was now off the table, but it seems highly likely the offer could be resurrected in some form if talks resume.

The US president last week said he had been receiving messages that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but privately Iranian officials say they are not yet getting clear proposals from America either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of non-responsiveness in the wake of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran asserts dialogue is not part of a performance.

Diplomatic Stance

In his speech to the conference, designed to portray the US as a dominant force that exploits the notion of global regulations, Araghchi declared the 12-day war revealed the conflict could not be resolved by combat operations. He stated the attacks started with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were carried out with total Washington understanding and collaboration, making confidence challenging to reestablish.

Dialogue Stays the Primary Answer

The foreign minister said: "Tehran was not the one that had fled dialogue; it was the United States and the European states that had always tried to dictate their desires during the discussions. Negotiations can still be active and stays the ultimate answer to resolve disagreements, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be adhered to."

"If they speak to the nation of Iran with the approach of dignity and respect, they will obtain a reply in the same language."

Repair and Rebuilding

In what is characterized by Iran's diplomats as the conflict of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was certain Iran's military capacities "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been restored. We learned many lessons from this war; we have discovered our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the enemy."

He added: "We effectively endured this war. Our nuclear technology, which they intended to destroy, remains in place. The facilities and gear, if destroyed, will be restored; what is essential is the will of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but were unable to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have developed more resilient, more united, and more endorsing of the leadership and the nation in the face of this assault."
