I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
